What will happen at my appointment?

When you attend your microsuction appointment, our trained audiology professional will first go through a list of medical questions with you. This is to understand whether there are any medical reasons why microsuction might not be right for you. The clinician will outline any risks to having the procedure performed before checking that you are happy to proceed. The clinician will check your ear(s) for any wax or abnormalities; if wax is present, the clinician will remove this using tympa microsuction equipment. After the wax has been removed, a full review of the eardrum will be completed to check for any further concerns.

Single ear £60
Both ears £70

Cardiovascular check

This is a 30 minute health check looking primarily at cardiovascular disease risk.

What’s checked:

• kardia trace looking at Atrial Fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm)
• blood pressure
• cholesterol blood test (result on the day)
• qrisk 3 (stroke and heart attack disease risk in the next 10 years)

This check costs only £89 and can be booked every Thursday evening from 17:30 to 21:00 at Holcombe Health Clinic.
